How do you spice up #afterworkbikerides during vacation season? 🌞🚵♂️
With a sketchy forecast, our game plan was simple:
1️⃣ Don’t stray too far from the car.
2️⃣ Make sure there’s a cozy spot nearby in case the skies open up.
👉 Decision made: hit a short, fiery warm-up loop and shred the trails above Niedercorn’s dog training ground.
But then—plot twist!
The sun showed up ☀️🔥, and Lex cranked up the fun, stretching the loop with extra trail combos.
After an hour of flow, we regrouped, strapped on full gear, and went hunting for jumps and drops.
Everyone picked their own lines, sending it as far as they dared. 💥
The storm eventually rolled in ⛈️, but we were faster—back to the car, ice-cold Battin beers in hand 🍺, and high-fives all around for another epic ride.
The night?
Sealed with good vibes at Giedel in Minett Park. 🌙🍽️

Summer Vibes, Spinoff Rides
Was everyone a little wary of tackling an Endurando in and around Kautenbach?
Maybe the sharp slate rock seemed a bit too risky?
It’s actually a pity that only two female bikers ventured up north to explore the technically demanding trails there…
Then again, the small group had its perks: more personal coaching, more freedom in line choice… and the ultimate reward — what might just be the most beautiful trail in the entire country.🙌
With only e-bikes on the start line, we decided to spice things up by adding a few uphill challenges.
That way, even the transfers from one trail to the next offered a bit of a workout.
Still, it wasn’t all cruising — with roughly 1,300 meters of climbing ⛰⛰⛰ over 40 km, keeping an eye on the battery🔋🪫 was part of the game plan.
We managed to complete the full loop, opting for an extended version that took us all the way to Schüttburg, where three more trails were waiting for us.
After about four hours, we rolled back to the starting point — tired but grinning — and wrapped up the day swapping stories over a cold beer, soaking in the last warm, summery rays.☀️

What else could we call it but perfect timing ⏱ and the perfect crew🤝?
Michel showed up to the #afterworkbikerides tour with three friends in tow — and what a great fit they were🤘. They blended right into the group from yesterday as if they’d always been part of the crew. Their “baptism ride” was a success — even if it meant hugging a tree 🌳 along the way (sometimes you just have to feel nature’s energy up close).
Let’s talk about the ride itself: Level 2. This level is made for mountain bikers who are no strangers to the saddle — riders who know their bikes and feel at home on the trails. It’s a notch down from Level 3 in terms of technical challenge, and unlike the tougher routes, you won’t necessarily need full protective gear.
With a moody sky above us and thunderstorms in the forecast ⛈⛈⛈, we kept things close to home. The plan was simple: stay within reach of the starting point and aim to be back before 8 PM — just in case the weather turned. And, well, you can probably guess how it went... On the very last stretch, the rain finally caught up to us. But honestly? It wasn’t even that bad — not nearly as dramatic as predicted.
And because no #afterworkbikeride is complete without it, we wrapped things up with an ice-cold @Battin beer 🍻. To top it all off, we found a cozy local spot and let @Miazia 🍝🍕 treat us to some well-earned food that made the whole evening even better.
