What else could we call it but perfect timing ⏱ and the perfect crew🤝?
Michel showed up to the #afterworkbikerides tour with three friends in tow — and what a great fit they were🤘. They blended right into the group from yesterday as if they’d always been part of the crew. Their “baptism ride” was a success — even if it meant hugging a tree 🌳 along the way (sometimes you just have to feel nature’s energy up close).
Let’s talk about the ride itself: Level 2. This level is made for mountain bikers who are no strangers to the saddle — riders who know their bikes and feel at home on the trails. It’s a notch down from Level 3 in terms of technical challenge, and unlike the tougher routes, you won’t necessarily need full protective gear.
With a moody sky above us and thunderstorms in the forecast ⛈⛈⛈, we kept things close to home. The plan was simple: stay within reach of the starting point and aim to be back before 8 PM — just in case the weather turned. And, well, you can probably guess how it went... On the very last stretch, the rain finally caught up to us. But honestly? It wasn’t even that bad — not nearly as dramatic as predicted.
And because no #afterworkbikeride is complete without it, we wrapped things up with an ice-cold @Battin beer 🍻. To top it all off, we found a cozy local spot and let @Miazia 🍝🍕 treat us to some well-earned food that made the whole evening even better.

As usual, here's a little recap of last week's ride, which took place under the motto: Let's play!
Honestly, we weren’t even sure all day if the ride would happen at all, since heavy rain and thunderstorms were constantly in the forecast...
But we got lucky — and were able to enjoy our after-work ride under bright sunshine!
After a warm-up loop, we kicked off the playful part of the ride with a few skill-building exercises — like braking using only the front brake.
Then we moved on to a steeper section 🏔, where riders could either roll down or go for a jump.
Some sections were already familiar to a few participants, others were completely new. Of course, everyone is free to push as far as they feel comfortable — the goal is simply to have fun.
We also showed the group some hidden features, so-called B-lines, that you might not spot at first glance, but that can add both fun and a bit of spice 🌶 to the trail.
Toward the end of the ride, we played around in "Little Utah", where a few riders dared to take on some bigger features and drops — resulting in a couple of exciting firsts 🙌!
Of course, crashes are always part of the game — we just hope they stay harmless.
To wrap things up, we enjoyed the usual well-earned, cold #afterworkbikeride beer 🍻.
Cheers to that!

What does a typical #afterworkbikerides tour actually look like?
Since we had two "rookies" join us yesterday, we first had to see how the newcomers were doing.
After a long, relaxed uphill — with plenty of time to chat and exchange — we got to know each other a bit better. Then came the first descent, which is usually when you really see how people ride. The others were already familiar faces.
Juriy and Patrick’s skills were spot-on 👌, so we were able to throw in some delicious trail highlights.
After that, we asked ourselves whether to add a short extra loop — and the group voted yes. As always, a few pics 📸 were taken along the way.
Around 8:15 PM, we all regrouped at the Mining Museum in Rumelange, where we enjoyed a cold #afterworkbikerides Battin beer together.
Unfortunately, not everyone could stay, but a few of us wrapped up the evening on the terrace of the restaurant next to the museum ⚒.

Riding into the sunset in warm summer temperatures — and afterwards, a well-deserved, cold #afterworkbikeride Battin beer.
But what exactly are #afterworkbikerides?
These guided tours through the Land of the red soil are all about fun and social connection.
And what do Level 1, 2, or 3 mean?
Level 1 is for casual riders. The routes follow wider forest paths or trails that are even suitable for gravel bikes.
Level 2 is a bit more diverse. It’s aimed at mountain bikers who are confident on their bikes and have some riding experience. The tour is always adapted to the group’s level — taking into account technical skills, endurance, and speed.
Level 3 is our enduro version. These rides involve a certain level of risk and require solid technical skills. A full-face helmet, chest protector, and elbow/knee pads are often recommended.
But no matter whether you’re riding Level 1, 2, or 3 — you’ll always learn something new.

Luckily, the heat ☀️☀️☀️ backed off just a little yesterday — but it was still blazing 🚀🚀🚀 out on the dusty trails around Dudetown.
Sticking to our motto, "In dust we trust," we charged into the dry terrain, digging in our tires and chasing that elusive grip.
The rain from the night before?
Barely made a dent — just a drop 💧 on a sizzling 🔥 stone.
After a rollercoaster ride of roughly 25 km and 650 meters of elevation, we ended the evening on a high note: cold Battin beers 🍻🫅🍻, good vibes, and tasty food @ Gigi di l'amoroso.
Already hyped for the next social ride!
Oh, and we’re cooking up the next spin-off — where should we go?
Trailpark Mehring?
Flow over sandstone?
Rip through slate?
Tell us what gets your wheels spinning!
