1. Registration
a. Can I still register for this year’s AGORA Red Rock Challenge?
Yes! Registrations are open right up until the start of each discipline.
b. How do I register?
All registrations are handled online only via the AGORA Red Rock Challenge portal – easy and accessible from home or your smartphone.
On-site registration is also possible (online = credit card), but no cash payments will be accepted.
2. Race Numbers
Where and when can I pick up my race number?
Pick-up takes place at Lycée Bel-Val during the scheduled hours listed in the Participant Guide.
Be sure to check your times!
3. X-Duathlon
a. Is there a shuttle service for the X-Duathlon?
No, there is no shuttle for this discipline.
b. Why not?
We recommend team members arrive by car to bring warm clothes, food, or other essentials to the transition zone.
c. Do we need to be 3 in a team?
No, teams can choose to race with 2 or 3 members.
d. I’m participating as a solo starter. Do I have to bring my running shoes to the transition zone myself?
No. Drop off your gear at the check-in area at least 1 hour before your race. We’ll transport it to the transition zone – and return it to you after the race.
4. Trail Run
Where and when does the shuttle depart for the 19K and 29K Trail Runs?
Shuttles leave 45 minutes before race start from the Lycée Bel-Val parking lot. Please arrive on time!
5. Mountain Bike
a. Safety on course:
Police and volunteer marshals will only be present at intersections during the race.
If you’re doing the “Randonnée” (non-competitive ride), obey all regular traffic laws (Code de la Route).
b. Race start procedure:
Roads remain open to traffic – always stay on your side of the road.
Do not overtake the police escort or risk disqualification.
6. Gravel
a. Gravel Tracks = different from MTB!
Please don’t follow the MTB course signage – the routes are different.
b. GPX files for Gravel routes are included in your registration confirmation email.
c. Gravel start time:
There is no fixed start time – but to benefit from refreshment points, do not start before 10:00 AM, when the MTBers start.
d. Note: The shortest Gravel track does not include a refreshment point.
7. General Info
We cannot close the entire forest or stop hikers and dog walkers – please show caution and respect to all, including road traffic users and especially our amazing volunteers!
8. Parking info
If you have already taken part in an AGORA Red Rock Challenge, you may remember the large free public car park located below the event area. This was also the departure point for the shuttle buses for the 19 km and 29 km Trail Run.
IMPORTANT: The former car park is no longer available!
But don’t worry — there is a new car park directly to the left of the former one, which will also be free and available for AGORA participants.
There are also several other parking options nearby:
Parking garage at Belval train station
Parking garage underneath Belval Plaza Shopping Center
Car park near the University building
IMPORTANT FOR 19 KM & 29 KM TRAIL RUNNERS
The shuttle bus will no longer leave from the former car park.
The shuttle departure point is now directly at the bottom of the ramp leading up to Lycée Bel-Val.
Please allow enough time to find a parking space and reach the shuttle departure point before your start.
